This isn’t the first time Krispy Kreme has revolutionized its coffee lineup, but it may be one of the largest shake-ups to the brand’s caffeinated offerings in a while. Yes, the North Carolina-based franchise released a new Pumpkin spice lineup in early August, but the coffee overhaul seems motivated by a desire to strengthen its year-round menu. Whether the total coffee revamp follows through on its goals will be for coffee lovers to decide.
Krispy Kreme’s fresh coffee update starts with a new and improved version of its classic brewed coffee. From there, the updated lineup branches out to include drinks like the Original Glazed Iced Coffee, which references the chain’s best doughnut, channeling the classic glazed-donut taste into a caffeinated beverage. Other updated drinks include the Frozen Caramel Mocha Latte and the Caramel Latte, which features Ghirardelli caramel sauce. Again, until September 17, these can all be ordered with a free donut. Just beware of the potential sugar high.
